Our Founder, Chris, is a landscape architect with over a decade of experience working on top-tier projects across residential, commercial, government and education sectors (not to mention countless hours watching Grand Designs and Backyard Blitz as a child!).

Our Services
Concept Design
After an initial consultation, Toff Studio will create a Landscape Concept Plan to illustrate how we’ll meet your brief. The plan will be complemented with a selection of mood board images to help communicate materials and themes that represent our design intent.
Planting Plan
We’ll provide you with a Planting Plan, plant schedule and plant sheet of images showcasing the plants proposed in your landscape design.
Whether you want the planting theme to be Australian native, formal, succulent, modern or are entirely unsure, we’ll select appropriate plants for the conditions.
Detailed Design / Construction Drawings
Toff Studio will provide you with a set of construction drawings to send to builders and landscape contractors. Being able to compare multiple quotes based off the same set of landscape plans ensures you get the best price.
Landscape Plan Approvals
Depending on what’s proposed, your design may need to gain approval. We have experience and relationships with local councils and private certifiers to lodge Landscape Plan Development Application (DA) and Complying Development Certificate (CDC) documentation.
The benefit of allowing us to lodge on your behalf is that we are familiar with the varying requirements, allowing for a seamless process.
Landscape & Garden Lighting Plans
You’ll be so pleased with your new garden design that you’ll want to make the most of it through night and day!
Toff Studio can design and draft a Landscape Lighting Plan to showcase the features of the new space, and allow for safe use at night.
Project Management
Coordinating different trades and overseeing construction can be overwhelming. We can take this off your hands with our project management service.
We’re invested in all our designs and love seeing them come to life. Being involved in the construction process means we’ll ensure the build follows our specification and design intent.

Our projects range from enhancing intimate courtyard spaces and plunge pool projects, to designing residential acreage properties complete with custom swimming pools, basketball half-courts, tennis courts and even backyard pickleball courts!
Engaging a professional gives you a plan to ensure all aspects of the the design complement each other, resulting in a harmonious, elegant and functional outdoor space.
If you just need simple landscape, swimming pool or plunge pool plans for certification or council approval (CDC or DA), we can quickly turn these around at a budget price too! This service can often be conducted remotely.
Playground Design
We’re passionate about creating inspiring play spaces in public open space and for schools.
Toff Studio considers your space holistically to meet your brief and maximise the benefits that a well-designed playground brings.
We’ll incorporate the right mix of nature play and traditional play equipment to promote cognitive development, gross motor skills, social skills, imagination, physical health and inclusivity.
If space is at a premium at your school, we specialise in designing flexible spaces, ‘ninja warrior’ style courses, and passive playgrounds for outdoor learning.
